Meet Our Founder: Pamela Furr

Pamela Furr is the driving force behind Bridge to Tomorrow.

In 2007, Pamela left her successful finance and insurance career when her son was diagnosed with autism. Since then, she has dedicated her life to advocating for special education and empowering families with children of diverse needs. Her passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others led to the creation of Bridge to Tomorrow.

Pamela also co-founded Puzzle Box Academy and Kaleidoscope Interventions, both of which provide therapy services and specialized education for children with autism and other developmental challenges. She has a degree in early childhood education and is a licensed voluntary prekindergarten instructor and facilitator.

With relentless determination and a heart for service, Pamela continues to drive Bridge to Tomorrow forward. Her vision and leadership have impacted the lives of hundreds of children, families, and volunteers through Bridge to Tomorrow.

Advocacy and Awareness

Bridge to Tomorrow advocates for the rights and needs of neurodivergent youth and children. Through our events, campaigns, and partnerships with various organizations, we educate the public and bring attention to important issues surrounding special education and developmental challenges in children. We aim to break stigmas and promote understanding and acceptance of differently abled individuals.

A complete course that teaches educators and caregivers how to reach neurodiverse learners at their level. It covers topics ranging from classroom management to behavioral and emotional support. Using proven data-driven metrics, this program offers scientific and practical strategies for bringing out the best in every student.

A safe, supportive space for parents, educators, and professionals dedicated to helping neurodiverse learners thrive. Emily’s inspiring story is a testament to how getting the proper support and education can change a young person’s life. Initially facing challenges in school due to her behavioral and learning differences, Emily’s life took a positive turn when she joined Bridge to Tomorrow’s partner school, Puzzle Box Academy.

I recommend Puzzle Box Academy (Palm Bay Campus) for any child with or without diagnosis of autism.

This is the first school my daughter went to and she gets her ST, OT and ABA all in one location. The staff are great and will work with you in one location. The staff are great and will work with you. I put my daughter in puzzle box late 2023 she is non-verbal, autistic and not potty trained. Early 2024 they were able to potty train her and she has zero accidents. (We now travel with a toddler toilet in our trunk ) Today 5/3/2024 picking up my daughter from school she got in the car waved and said Hi. Best decision I’m signing up my son as well

My son has been coming here for the last 4 years and they have made such a difference in our lives He was bounced around from public school to public school because they just couldn’t help him…

Lindsey is definitely the kindest staff member I’ve met and so easy to talk to, always very accommodating and goes out of her way to make sure you and your little one are comfortable son was diagnosed with severe autism at 3yrs old.

Barley verbal. But now, he is like a different kid! And switching him to this school, I feel I have seen a change in him (in so many ways) that I wouldn’t have seen if I had kept him in regular/mainstream school. His teacher at his old school was very honest in telling me that they wouldn’t be able to give him the accommodations he needs & deserves, that PBA could provide. My son pediatrician is another who suggested Puzzle box. So that’s who we chose! With all the amazing people that work there, and the special tools & techniques they use to get through to these kids and make learning fun (and just a little bit easier), I just can’t imagine what things would be like had we never switched to puzzle box academy.! We have been at this school going on 4 years. There have a lot of changes since the school first opened. With that being said, it was all for the better.

My son has become the person I knew he had inside of him. He has excelled in many areas where he once was very deficient. This is not the place for everybody. It has to be a good fit for both family and school. It’s a relationship that everyone has to contribute to. It is hard work for all parties involved but the payoff has been awesome for us. I have no issues with the teachers or BCBA’s. His teacher now has been with him since day 1 in some capacity and we are truly grateful.

Puzzle Box has been an absolute blessing for my son. He is not the same boy he used to be. He is a more confident, happier version of himself. He has had excellent teachers and therapists.

I love the fact he can get the therapy he needed incorporated at the school and how it can be applied within his classroom on a daily basis there.He was miserable at public school and I did not feel he was valued there. His needs were not being met. He is thriving here and has friends that he did not have at public school because of the issues he was struggling with. If I ever needed something addressed concerning my child my voice was heard and it was and is quickly addressed. This is our third year here and we continue to come here because my son is thriving. I thank God for the growth I see in him and I know Puzzle Box Academy has played a big part in that.

Someone said the students arent safe at the school? I have to laugh. The cameras all over the school aren’t just for show.

They monitor EVERYTHING. My daughter wasnt allowed to start PBA until all I’s were dotted, all T’s crossed and staff were trained on what to do with her and necessary equipment was in place before she stepped foot in the school. I have a VERY medically fragile child who was pulled out of another private school that was geared towards ASD kids specifially because she WAS NOT SAFE. When your child has seizures and is postictal for hours and you question weather the nurse gave emergancy meds and the comment was “For what? A behavior? She drooled, wasnt making sense when we were asking her questions, even rolled her eyes before putting her head down and going to sleep.” A seizure action plan has ALWAYS been in place, but the schools homopathic nurse didnt feel rescue meds were needed. THAT isnt safe. The list could go on on, right down to the mental abuse the kids have gone through at the other school. I have 2 children who had terrors from the school they were in. Now they get upset if they miss time at PBA. If they didnt feel safe theres no way Id get them to walk into the doors. I have seen the staff interact with the students on many occasions. I would say they are very caring and compassionate with all of the kids.

My experience for my kiddos has been nothing but amazing. I have two kiddos enrolled at PBA, both with very different needs and issues.

The staff and support have been nothing short of the miracle we needed for our family. Ms. T has been the best thing to ever happen to my little one. Unless my kiddos outgrow PBA we won’t ever leave!

None of these options were a good fit and looked long and hard for a school that could accommodate my child’s needs. They worked with my insurance company and my McKay scholarship to make it affordable for my child to attend. I would not send my child to a school that I didn’t have 💯 percent faith in .
